No.18
Dear everybody,
Last time here in this section, I told you about myself, about my life; whatever came to me, I’ve never fought the situation or argued with people but just followed the flow of nature, without trying. That way has made me what I am today. The ability to follow any flow, however, is given only when you are relaxed. For me, the most ideal state of consciousness is ‘being at ease’.
“Is my mind relaxed at this point of time?” “Is my heart free from worries and anxieties?” I am still in the habit of asking myself to see if my mind is at peace. If not, something came into my mind, has caught my attention and agitated my mind. Then, I hastily say to myself, ‘Oh, no, I must stop this!” and instantly raise the level of my consciousness. This is what I constantly do to control my consciousness and keep it at the right level. Some people always worry about how other people see them but I’d rather see the inner self - the state of my consciousness than worry about how people think of me.
“Feeling at ease” is truly important. Even when you are at work, for example, instead of trying to work hard to the best of your ability, relax your mind to the extent to which your work is no longer your concern. That would make things easy for you, wouldn’t it? Feeling no pressure or stress works to your advantage, too. Your ability to stay away from worries, anxieties, and pressures and feel exhilarated and even grateful for that state of your being proves the existence of enormous energy. Because if you don’t have energy, you cannot take on the next job. The minute you make up your mind to work harder for better results, you become tense and start losing your energy. If you are relaxed, however, your mind becomes receptive to energy from nature and that supreme gift of nature in return will work wonders―allowing you to do a marvelous job.
When your mind is at rest, you can accept whatever comes to you―be it a person or a matter like your work. When something unexpected comes into our daily life, we all get upset and annoyed. Our mind is so easy to be disturbed that we will be soon out of energy. Whatever happens to you, don’t panic and just stay calm. Let it be and let it have its way. It is crucial to keep the level of your consciousness high enough to follow the flow of nature.
In this sense, I’d like you to start your morning with calm feeling. And try to raise the level of your consciousness so that you are always at peace in mind.
